Aloe Vera Juice

Aloe Vera is well known for its curative properties and beneficial effects on health. Although Aloe Vera is most commonly associated with skin ailments, its use in treating other conditions such as improving the digestive system have also gained recognition.

Most illnesses related to the digestive tract, ranging from the minor to the very serious, have been shown to result from a toxic colon. These include various problems related to the bowel such as colitis, diverticulitis, and spastic colon or irritable bowel syndrome. Irritable bowel syndrome is a common problem and results in exhaustion, lower back pain, constipation, diarrhea and indigestion. The process of food intake and its digestion result in the production of toxins. When these toxins are excessive, problems result. Getting rid of these toxins is done by a process known as colonic irrigation that loosens and washes out the toxins and the deposits that remain. Aloe Vera juice helps the process of colonic irrigation thus freeing the digestive tract of toxins, and improving its functioning.  A regular course that consists of daily consumption of Aloe Vera juice, gradually and gently breaks down the residues and cleans the system.

Another advantage of regular consumption of Aloe Vera juice is the detoxification and consequent improved condition of the blood. Aloe Vera juice does all this without any harmful side effects or irritation. Aloe Vera also facilitates internal healing and soothing of any internal ulcers or lesions.

Aloe Vera yields two major products  -a juice and a gel derived from its fleshy interior part. Aloe Vera juice is a bitter, yellow liquid that is available in the cells beneath the surface of the thick leaves. This juice acts as a harsh purgative.

Methods of extracting the gel and juice like solvent extraction, may involve chemical and physical treatments that may sometimes change the nature of the extract and give varying yields.

Aloe Vera juice can be collected by filleting the leaves in the field soon after they are collected. The juice that is extracted should be preserved by freezing. Because the juice is a good nutrient, it can support bacteria. The juice can also be extracted by crushing whole leaves. The juice is very bitter and can the bitterness can be reduced by distillation. Distillation can also reduce the essential ingredients to some extent. Filleting helps in getting better and more juice from the leaves.

Aloe Vera extracts are used in many health and beauty products. Aloe Vera juice can be extracted from liquid or powdered Aloe. The juice extracted from the liquid is better. The content of Aloe in the extracted juice should be at least 95%. Flavored juices are common, but flavoring might impact the effectiveness.

Aloe Vera juice can be consumed in small regular doses for long-term benefits.
