When we look at the expensive moisturizers, night creams and the daily haggle of applying loads of oily creams, we seldom forget cursing our dry skin. But in this whole process we usually forget the biggest advantage dry skin brings along with it - NO PIMPLES. Thus, if just well taken care of, dry skin can prove out to be a trouble free and friendly skin. Here are some easy and handy tips to tackle with the dryness:1. The best way to restore the moisture in the skin is to increase the intake of water in the body. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water. Don't forget to apply a generous amount of good moisturizing cream just after washing the face and also before going to bed. 2. It is good to add 2-3 tea spoons of milk in a bucket of water which makes you feel supple. You can also add 'olive oil. 3. Curd is very good for dry skin. Apply one tea spoon of curd to the face and neck, let it dry for 5-10 mins and wash with clear water. You will feel the difference soon. 4. Weekly massage of skin with some good moisturizing cream should be done followed by a facial mask of '1 tea spoon corn flour, ½ tea spoon turmeric and 1 tea spoon milk cream'. 5. Minimize the use of soap, use rose water as a cleanser. 6. Mix equal amounts of rose water, glycerin and 2 tea spoons of lime juice and store it in a bottle. Use it as a moisturizer everyday. It works wonders for dry skin. Above all, treat your dry skin as a delicate child. Protect it from the extreme winds, excessive sun and cold and of course harsh soaps. Pamper it with loads of water, milk, honey and care. And you will soon feel the blooming of your childish skin. - Surabhi Surendra
