As simple as WATER

It is as simple as WATER! Did you know that if you are feeling the least bit thirsty right now, you are already depleting your body of its much needed hydration? As simple as it sounds, water may be just what you need to start looking and feeling better. Here are some questions to ask yourself: Do you drink a lot of caffeinated or sugary beverages throughout the day because you often feel thirsty or in need of an energy revival? Do you often have dry skin, hair, nails or chapped lips?

Does the skin on your face or body seem to be needing extra attention or feel less than attractive? Are you an active individual?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should be drinking a LOT more water! Water is essential for keeping the whole body operating smoothly. It can help in energizing and detoxifying the body, as it provides moisture to the body from the inside out. Most people who think they drink enough water throughout the day are still not getting enough. The amount needed varies upon everyone due to individual weight and activity level. The more active you are, the more water you will need to stay hydrated. The heavier you weigh, the more water you will need to nourish your skin and larger mass. (plus it helps curb your appetite to lose weight) If you think of water in the same way as you do blood supply you will realize that we need it for all of our organs to operate. Water helps to wash away our toxins. Water also provides us with an easy way to get more vitamins & minerals into our body as opposed to the sugary and caffeinated beverages that absorb important nutrients from us. (Soda pop=bad news as it is temporary hydration and energy, but is very unhealthy and provides no nutritional value)

But you may ask, just how much should I drink? Well, you might feel bloated at first because your body is use to being deprived, but try to drink a glass (at least 6-8 ounces) about every hour during the day and gauge how you feel from there. Pay attention to your energy level, and mouth for dryness. If your mouth gets dry, you aren't drinking nearly enough! If you notice you are all of a sudden needing to go to the bathroom every two hours, that is a sign you are very healthily hydrated.
