How to get rid of cellulite? - Cellulite Reduction

Cellulite is characterized by a series of ripples of subcutaneous tissue and fat cells under the surface of the skin. It usually appears on the thighs and butt, and is more prevalent in women than men.

While there is no non-surgical cure for cellulite, there are a few measures that one can take to make sure that it decreases to a certain extent.

1. Dieting:
Cellulite, like any other fat cells, responds to calorie constriction. If there is a deficit in calories consumed, the stored fat can go away. However, if excess intake of calories resumes, the fat cells that are present can refill causing the problem of cellulite, once again.

2. Cosmetic remedies:
There are some products that can help to alleviate the symptoms of cellulite. A good Aloe Vera cream can help to do so. The Gota herb also seems to have an effect. But these cures aren’t complete, and cannot remove all of the cellulite. Check this out for cellulite natural and home remedies.

3. Exercise:
Just generally being active can go a long way in helping you reduce your cellulite. Exercise burns. Also, exercise targeted towards developing and building muscles can help get rid of a certain amount of fat effectively.

4. Check your weight:
Keep a check on your weight. If you are overweight, the chances of you having cellulite are much greater. Don’t go for sudden weight reduction by means of a crash diet or excessive exercising, since they can be harmful to your body. Gradual weight loss is often the longest lasting.

5. Fruits:
Fruits are very healthy for the body. Eating a lot of fruits can keep your skin looking youthful, healthy and prevent cellulite.

6. Healthy lifestyle:
Quit smoking. Yes, it helps. Also, reduce your intake of coffee and highly caffeinated products. Avoid high-fat and highly processed foods. Try to stay away from alcohol, as well.

7. Unnecessary medication:
The wrong type of medication can only worsen the situation. Stay away from diet pills, sleeping pills, pep pills, diuretics and laxatives.

8. Drink plenty of water:
You simply cannot go wrong with this one.

9. Fiber:
Eat a lot of foods containing fiber. It is extremely healthy.

9. Avoid “miracle cures”:
Often, we are hooked in with commercials for reducing cellulite. All of these have a skinny model showcasing her cellulite-free skin proudly. Remember, they’re all airbrushed. And the creams no where close to work. In fact, they can have the opposite effect. So stay clear of them.
