How to braid hair in a Simple English Braid ?

1. Separate all the hair into three even portions and comb to ensure that all tangles are removed.

2. Now, you will need to use both hands, starting with the right portion cross is over the middle portion shifting the portion to the opposite hand, then cross the left portion over the portion that is now in the middle. Then place all portions back into the beginning hand separating each portion with your fingers.

3. Pull each portion away from each other to ensure that the braid is tightened as you go.

4. Continue the process alternating right and left portions over the middle portion, tightening the braid as you make it, until you reach the nap of the neck or have braided all the hair. You can either use an elastic band, a bow or ribbon to tie the braid.
