I, too, have a large number of freckles. They never really bothered me until a few days ago. I don't know why, but suddenly I decided that they were not doing me any good, so what is the use of them. Also, I think if I get rid of them it will help my appearance. I am going to try to use lemon juice to see if that works, but as far as laser treatments are concerned, I'm not so sure if my mom will approve. All-in-all, I'm a pretty good-looking person. I'm not overweight, I usually have a positive attitude and I am pretty social. However, when I try to get a girlfriend, I have to wait until the girl gets to know me. This usually take quite a few weeks of "friendly" dates. The problem is, my friends can just go and ask a girl out, and she will say "yes" without hesitation. The only thing not helping my appearance is my freckles (excluding my teeth, I ran into a brick wall and now the front ones are just a tad crooked and worn. Anyway, I probably sound gay being the only guy wanting to get rid of his freckles, but I will keep in touch. Take care!

If I take that thing altilol, will it do any damage to me? I have freckles especially on my legs. I HATE them. I look around at school and find no one else has it. Am I the only one? Mum says its in the genes. I hate it! I'm 12 now and they still don't go!

I'm a freshman in high school. I have some freckles on my arms and shoulders and some on my face (the ones on my face seem to be fading a bit, but not enough). Basically, I live in FL so all my friends are perfectly tan or at least white with no freckles. I'm pretty self-conscious because I know I have that problem already, but I can't stand to even look at my arms. My mom keeps telling me to use tanning lotion on my skin. She doesn't understand though, having a tan with freckles still showing isn't really the same.. I can't afford anything over 10 dollars. and in FL it's hard to stay out of the sun so I guess I'll have to try lemons and stuff and just for all the people saying that freckles are cute... they might be to you, but if you had to wake up every morning, look in the mirror and see yourself like somebody with freckles, you probably wouldn't feel the same way.

Hey! I am 13 and have been getting LOTS of freckles (especially on my face and shoulders) since I was about 6. Lately I have been mixing sour cream and lemon juice to rub on my face. You just let it dry and then wipe it off, about once a day or so. It really works! They fade away quickly that way. Also, even though I always forget, put sun screen on your face every morning, even in the Winter!

Hey, freckles are hot! Be happy to have them! This girl I know has freckles all over her face and she picks up and gets all the guys... It's not a deformity and you have a less chance of getting pimples if you have freckles. Seriously, instead of hiding them, WORK THEM! Be Fierce!

Hi, I'm 12 and I have freckles on my face every where. I have always had them. I think its genetic, but my mum never had them. Because I never go out in the sun, I just want them gone.

I too, am a freckle hater, it's comforting to read all these comments from people in the same position. I recently started taking Alitol and will report back in a couple of months to let you all know if it made any difference...fingers crossed everyone!

Grr. I don't like my freckles. All over me, all the time! Not so much on my back, but all over my face, arms and especially my legs... I'm 14 and they never used to worry me. But I've started being called freckled face and I hate it!

Does anyone know anything about Alitol? It's a pill that claims to help get rid of freckles! It sounds a little good to be true... But I can't help but hope! Does anyone know if it works or how to find out? I'm not able to find much about it.

Hey, freckles huh? Best thing, prevent them. Wear sunscreen on your face daily, especially the nose. Keep AWAY from the sun during 12-2 pm, worst hours to be out, sit in the shade wherever possible... To fade the ones you already have, try calamine lotion at night time, this should fade them. If you don't have any on hand, try toothpaste as a spot treatment on specific freckles - not the whole face. It will dry it out and leave you feeling very yucky. Try not to obsess! Have a great day :)
