| My son contracted mollescum as a 4 year old kid, and the dermatologist said to leave them and they would go away - after 6 months they were considerably worse and we went to a second dermatologist who put a blistering solution on them - she told us to pop any more with a needle (clean sterile medical one - you can get them at a drug store - as small as possible we could find) (during this time my 2 year old daughter also caught them) we continued pricking any that came out, and after 2 months they didn't have any more - now an year later they are back in both of my children - re-exposed to the virus? I plan on pricking all the new ones as the ones that we left originally on my son ended up scarring and the ones that we pricked did not - we put polysporin on them after we pricked them and used a topical anaesthetic (emla cream) to numb the skin before pricking them - or we do it when they are sleeping - sounds barbaric in a way but it was the only way that we got rid of them - hope this might help.. | |

| I am 17 and I have had mollescum for a while now. But I'm still really struggling with it. I don't know how I got this virus. I'm not sexually active and I have not been near any swimming pools and the like. I have been to the dermatologist many a times and every time we 'try' something different. This last time she tried to freeze off all the bumps (I have a LOT on the underside of my left thigh) and all that did was irritate them even more, and caused more formerly benign bumps on my arms to itch and spread. It's now on my nose and will probably spread elsewhere. I am taking all the necessary precautions like I was told, but I just can't control it. Does the grapefruit seed extract really work? I would LOVE that if it did. | |

| My 3 year old son has mollescum and I am at my ends wits because he keeps itching and the only thing I can tell him is not to touch, impossible for a 3 year old. Any suggestions that would help him sleep better at night would be dearly appreciated. Thanks. | |

| My 2 year old baby is having the same. Initially he had only one and within a matter of four months they have spread on his neck, cheek and forehead. My doctor also said the same thing that there is no remedy. I don't really know how I can help him. Any Ideas that can help. bibek_a@yahoo.com | |

| My 3 year old son was diagnosed with molluscome a couple of weeks ago. They are on his chest and thighs. The doctor informed me that there is no treatment and they will go away on their own. He strongly advised not to attempt to get them removed by a dermatologist because it can be very painful. | |

| My grandson, two years old has small bumps on his arms, wrist & back of his knees. They itch as he scratches them a lot. The doctor said he had mollescum & it would go away. There has to be something that would help him. I don't think they are contagious as his mother, father, brother & I do not have them, we are constantly touching him. He is on prednisone, as he is asthmatic & my daughter feels that the prednisone may help him. Any ideas that can help. Thank you. Clara Heirman heirman@comcast.net | |

| Our pediatrician diagnosed the mollescum on my 14 year old duaghter's face. Her friend's father, a dermatologist, recommended Grapefruit Seed Extract, to be taken twice daily. The mollescum is going away without any surgical or invasive treatment. | |
