Getting rid of excess body hair for us women can be a problem. Unfortunately shaving is only a make-do, or temporary reprieve; what w really need is a longer term method. One method that is becoming increasingly popular is hot wax hair removal. Many people, yes men included, swear by this beauty system despite many newer methods coming onto the market.
Because there are so many hair removal products on the market now you may still be asking yourself why hot wax hair removal is still so popular. It is not a perfect system however, but overall the benefits outweigh the failings. Some of the newer approaches to unwanted hair removal are not as cost effective as wax removal. Shaving of course may be convenient but it’s not the most pleasant method, especially when you cut yourself.
The most annoying thing when you cut yourself with a razor is the fact that it will happen right before you have an appointment I think the poor guys have it worse though, having to shave everyday and still getting the 5 O’clock shadow, something that we girls don’t have to worry about if we use wax removal. Your hair also grows back thinner each time you use a hot wax hair removal process. So the more often I wax, the less hair returns which is fine by me; something a shaver cannot promise!
The razor on the other hand has the strange effect of ensuring you have to use it more often as the hair grows back quicker each time you shave. Hot wax hair removal had a bit of bad press because it’s portrayed as a bit painful but it’s not that bad. An alternative is the Epilady which is an excellent example of why wax removal is superior. This little torture device is straight from the Medieval ages. I got rid of mine after using it once, very, very briefly, I wouldn’t even let my worst enemy use it.
It was one of my old college friends who suggested I try hot wax hair removal, so I went along with her when she next went. I was so convinced I haven’t used any of the other uncomfortable systems since. It’s strange when you think about the poor reputation for comfort that wax removal has. However, this approach to removing unwanted hair really doesn’t, especially if you compare it to the alternatives.

The most popular method to have 365 days a year tan is by using a tanning booth on a regular basis. Technology has come to the rescue to an industry that is having problems, owing to the rise in cases of skin cancer, with some newer techniques that pose less danger. Many people are now turning to artificial methods as they are generally much safer, especially the popular spray tanning system. Although there are many other methods, spraying seems to provide the most even and consistent tan available at the moment.
Just to provide an even more convenient service, manufacturers have introduced spray tanning equipment that can be used in the home. Regardless of the method you choose there are a few basic steps to follow to ensure that you get the best results possible. First off, you should exfoliate your skin to remove any dead skin. This can stop the situation where dead skin cells gradually drop off leaving paler patches of skin which immediately tells people you have a fake tan.
Once this process is complete, it is advisable to prepare your skin further by applying a moisturizing cream (or lotion) to it which will make the agent easier to apply. Always, always, always wear disposable surgical gloves when applying a self tanning cream etc. unless you want people to see the orange palms which you will most certainly have when you have finished. It is also important to remember fingers, joints and feet do not need to be coated as heavily as they will become very dark and once again give the game away. If you are using a spray tanning method then you will need an old towel to wipe any excess fluid away to stop streaking.
Always stay as still as possible after artificial tanning to allow time for the application to settle down and create an even coating. Don’t forget to wear some old clothes as fake tan is notorious for staining almost anything it touches. You should choose something dark and also maybe something you don’t particularly care for until the excess is worn off. Now that you have this information it should be much easier having a fake tan without anyone knowing.

For some time now there has been a great deal of fuss over people getting Botox injections for everything from a sagging chin to a droopy eyelid; there are many myths about what it is and before a person starts a course, it is worth finding out more information. Despite its recent rise to fame, the original research into this product is a few decades old. It was first studied back in the early 1960’s and derived from the now famous poison Botulinum toxin; It used originally for disorders of the brain.
In 1989 it was finally approved by the FDA to treat eye muscle disorders; these included blepharospasm (uncontrollable blinking), strabismus (crossed eyes) and even wrinkles. In the year 2000 it was approved to treat cervical dystonia; this eases the pain from serious contractions in the shoulders and neck, but it was also given the ok to be used on another more unusual eye condition. In their research, doctors discovered that Botox softened the frown lines between the eyebrows; it was after this discovery that it officially came into existence and was FDA approved for cosmetic use in 2002.
Botox paralyses the muscles that cause wrinkles keeping them in a relaxed state; given sufficient treatments, frown lines that the person has lived with for many years will gradually fade. If this procedure is continued, in many instances the lines will soften so much they will seem to disappear; now the same procedure is used on other areas of the face where lines form, generally with age. The injections actually contain a purified form of the Botulinum toxin; because of the purification process it can be used in cosmetic surgery.
Of course we all like to laugh and obviously use our faces for other gestures but the muscles controlling this are the cause of the line we see and obviously, these injections can stop this. After years of making these expressions the wear and tear on your face begins to be noticeable and the lines start to become permanent; this is something that many skin creams have attempted to do for many years. Botox paralyzes the facial muscles which means everyday expressions we use in communication and take for granted cannot be made; people who have regular treatment often look as though they are dummies because they cannot smile properly or make other facial gestures that we tend to rely on.
A person who has undergone this treatment still has enough movement to provide some expressions but they are limited; because most of the wrinkles and creases have all but disappeared, it appears that the person is younger than their true years. Some will be happy that the people who can afford the treatment are still the wealthy with individual treatments still costing a great deal of money; this is why it has been coined as something only celebrities have performed because the least expensive injection can still cost upwards of 300 dollars to in excess of 1,000 dollars. There is always some concern about new treatments and botox is no exception with many people worried about the long term effects of injections, but even so this has not stopped its popularity.
