It is a universal truth that a beautiful smile just lights up a day. Lips give your face a very lively and beautiful look and for that matter you need to take care of them.

The most common problems of lips are dark lips and chapped lips.

Dark Lips: The skin of lips is does not contain melanin, which is a major thing that protects our skin. Our lips are covered by a thin layer of skin and on the inside they are covered with a transparent mucous membrane. If you have dark lips then you need to do the following things:

- You need to increase the intake of fruits and vegetables.
- You need to stop smoking.
- You also need to avoid lipstick, as to prevent any chemical contact to lips.
- You can apply a gentle film of oil on your lips and can leave it there for quite some time.
- You can apply a lotion of coconut mixed with oil and almond and can apply it on your lips and leave it there overnight. You can do that for about two weeks to obtain the best results.
- You can massage your lips with a mixture of half teaspoon of glycerin and a half teaspoon of castor oil mixed with half teaspoon of lemon juice and can leave it overnight. You will definitely see a huge difference.
- Apply cream from curds with saffron on your lips.

Cracked Lips
: You must know the fact that cracked lips do not produce oil as does your skin because there are no glands to produce oil. The most common reason that the lips crack is because of an allergic reaction to cosmetics, skin infections, extreme weather conditions like excess sun and wind exposure, as well as biting of the lips or vitamin B deficiency. If you have cracked lips you have to do the following

- You can protect your lips by applying a plain cream.
- You can apply peanut butter or coco butter to your lips.
- You can grind some rose petals and then put cream on top of the milk and apply them to your lips, which will heal your cracked lips.
- You need to add vitamin B and C to your diet.
- You can mix two drops of glycerin with one teaspoon of cream on top of milk and can apply it to your lips and can cure your cracked lips and give them a smooth and shiny look.
- You can mix proportionate quantities of nutmeg, turmeric and fresh butter and can apply gently to your cracked lips.
- You can moisturize and exfoliate your lips. You can exfoliate your lips by applying facial scrub facial scrub gently to your lips with your fingers.

Common Care For Lips:

- You can apply cold cream or moisturizers before you apply lipstick.
