Dab BlusherIt all depends on the tricks to blush up the right way. For in your face your eyes and lips no matter how well done will fail to create the magic if you don’t highlight your cheeks properly. The cheeks are of course one of the most prominent part of your face that everyone is bound to notice. So how you do it up is vital to how you will look. The moral of the story is that the right blusher application is that one which will give you the natural look. And you will have naturally beautiful and supple cheeks to make few skip their heart beats as they notice your face!

Firstly as per our advice, you have to put your index and middle finger holding them straight up or vertically against the side or against the wall of your nose. Now begin to apply the blusher from near the edge of the outer finger and go up to the temple.

Second tip that you should do is, just incase you have wide and large face whether it is square or round in shape, sweep the blusher on your cheekbones. Make sure that you do not sweep the brush up towards your ears.

The third suggestion that you must follow is that you have to dab blusher however use only a small amount of it on each earlobe. It will surely add an amazing glow to your face. Especially if you decide to pull up your hair at the back in a ponytail or some hair style or even if you have short hair such that the earlobes will be seen.

Finally the fourth and the last tip is don’t forget and miss out to add a touch of the blusher on your chin and forehead to give yourself the naturally glowing look with your entire face done up beautifully. At the same time you will look as if you are naturally glowing!

For that amazing blush on your face and to glow with the right blush color you have to choose the right blush color. Remember it will always help if you avoid blush of those colors especially that are too bright or too dark for your skin color. As per Bobbi Brown, a renowned US-based beauty consultant –he suggest that, "The right blusher for you should be the same color as your cheeks are naturally when you're really healthy." To match with your skin tone and to complement it, choose a blush color that will blend with your natural skin tone and give a naturally healthy glow.

For the perfect blush we have some suggestions for you that are well tested and approved in the best of the beauty salons and by the top beauty professionals of the world. These are also very easy and simple to follow. So follow these color tips for the perfect blush and see yourself transform into a diva!

BLUSH MAKEUP POWDER

Blush makeup usually warms up with the body heat and turns to a very deep shade, so always remember to use cosmetic facial blush powders sparingly while you put on makeup to get a natural and healthy look.
Cosmetic Facial Blush Powder

For a make up with blush you have to learn how to do it up the right way. Only then you can glow with the correct blush color. You will also have to learn the tricks so that your blush looks natural. Your look will be really spoiled if your blush looks artificial as the natural look is the desired look globally. And after you learn the tricks see yourself glow with the help of a little blush. Take care to avoid putting too much blush.

You can attain a desired look with blush powder. The wonderful abilities of blush powders to transform you into an exotic beauty are guaranteed and obvious. Makeup using blush is time saving and quick ways to get that desired look.

It adds a deep shade to the skin and outlines the cheek. Blush makeup can give you a truly gorgeous and eye-catching hollow or defines your cheek bones. If you apply it perfectly it will produce a glow on your face that looks very natural as if it is coming from within you.
Blush Makeup Powder

By no means should you assess a blush powder just by seeing how it looks. Cosmetics and face blushes are easily available in different shades and textures in the market today. Test the color and texture of your blush powder on the inside of your forearm incase you are wearing make up from before.

You should ideally make sure you do these two following tests to find the right blush powder or cream blush that will be the right color to suit your skin tone the best. First, the right color will look natural and the wrong one will not match your skin tone and thus it will stand out. The second test is the intensity of the color or how deep it looks on your face. If you are fair, you want just a hint of color, the more translucent the better. If you are strong in coloring, with olive or dark skin, you need greater depth and intensity with blush powder to accentuate and show off your good looks.

As you will age you will notice that your skin will need more creams to preserve and maintain its natural oils. To help you doing this use a cream blush as it can really help you prevent looking dry and washed out.
The most important tips for facial beauty that you can never do without include, using a good brush applicator. Smile like a fool. The blush powders should be applied with light strokes of a good brush and sweep it over the apple of the cheek. The strokes should be in short, up and down motions. For a finishing touch you can apply a light stroke of blush across your forehead by your hair line. For a rich and creamy cheek color supply your skin with discount cosmetic facial blushes.

COLOR IT RIGHT:

Blusher ShadesFor a fair skin stick to using beige, tawny and pink tones for blush whether it is a powder or cream blush that you choose to use.

For an Olive to Yellow toned of skin we suggest that you use blusher shades like warm brown, almond and copper shades regardless of whether you are using powder bush or cream blush.

Similarly for Dark shade skin our advice is use plum, auburn and deep bronze shades for blushing on no matter what type of blush that is powder or cream blush you prefer to use. For a tanned skin our tip is use blush of the shades of orange, apricot, peach and coral shades.

 FOR THE NATURAL LOOK:

Now our aim is to get that perfect look and to have a rather natural looking blush. We have often seen many a women who make the mistake of putting on just a bit too much of blush. As a result they don’t look like they have a natural glow and appear to be made up like a Christmas tree.
Natural Look

So the right way to go about using blush makeup is to use it in such a way that you make sure that it looks natural.

Blush makeup is rather different from both eye make up and lipstick. Remember that a blush is like a foundation or it is a base make up. Therefore ideally blush makeup is not meant to be shown off. The most appropriate way to make sure that your blush doesn't stand out like a shaded outline of your cheeks is by always applying blush before you do your eye make-up and put on the lipstick. Or else, it will be seem to compete with your eyes and lips in your mental mirror and that is the very reason why you will apply too much blush.

It is also of great help if you can make sure that you have a well-lit mirror before which you can stand or sit, whichever is more comfortable and apply the blusher. Or else you will tend to apply too much just because you did not have a clear view. So a good and well lit mirror is essential just because you are able to notice yourself and you don’t end up applying more amount of color than you should.

If you still cannot be sure and you are still feeling confused then to help you out of your confusion we suggest that you should sweep on no more than 3-4 brush strokes of blush. It is unlikely that you will go wrong after all these tips!

Disaster Of Too Much BlushSO YOU HAVE PUT ON TOO MUCH BLUSH?? DON’T WORRY THE TIPS TO SAVE YOU ARE HERE!

If you've after all put on just too much of blush spoiling that naturally glowing look then we suggest don't you worry. Worry won’t help at all. What will help you is that you read on and you will get the best of the tips to save yourself from the disaster of applying too much blush! All you must do is take a dry clean make-up sponge at once and rub it gently over your brush strokes to take the color out and make it appear faded. You can reduce and lessen the color even more simply by using some translucent powder, and then do up the blusher again but this time with a new, subtler blush shade.

Use blush powders. They will give your face a look of freshness, tenderness, and outline your face with just a couple of brush strokes.

PUTTING ON BLUSH:

Applying Blush On Face

Blush is generally the last cosmetic to be used on face while doing makeup. But we definitely suggest that you do it before you do your eye makeup or apply your lipstick so that you don’t over do the blush. Remember that the right way to apply a blusher is to make it look like a natural glow on your face.

The way you will be applying blush on your face will also differ with the facial shape you have. The right application of blusher can give your face any desired shape and make it look longer or wider, as you want it to look! Here we have some tips only for you to use while you apply blush to get the right look you want:

A modest amount of shine and glitter on the most raised point of your cheekbone near the eyes can give you a diva look in no time.

Draw attention to the cheekbones by using a slightly deep color there and balance it by blending it down the cheek to get a more natural look.

Always using dirt free and hygienic blush brushes is very important in order to keep away any bacteria transfer in skin and therefore you should clean them and keep them free from contamination with non-soapy cleansers and baby wipes.

Cream blush can be blotted off using a tissue while applying translucent powder can dilute powder blush. However, gel and liquid blush have to be washed from face and the makeup has to be redone.
Frosted Blush

You can use cream blushes on your lips for a hint of soft color.  Always apply it by using the tip of your finger.

Darkish pink blush gives certain warmth to your face and freshens up the face, especially on the tendons below the ears. However remember that blush on your chin may not look good, if the skin tone of your neck is lighter than the skin tone of your face.

Frosted blush may not be a very great option for you and always remember that frosted makeup shades on lips or eyes are more in vogue during night parties.

Yet if you want, you can get the frozen look by applying a lighter shade of frosted eye shadow or lipstick such as gold, silver, light pink, peach, champagne and beige and of course blushers of the same shades and brush it on the highest point of your cheekbones.

Frosted highlighting powder is also readily available in the shops and you can use these powders anywhere on your face!
Apply Blush On Cheeks

The easiest and perfect way to get those deliciously rosy cheeks is by simply going for the gels and liquids. In this case they are simply unbeatable as they soak the skin with a warm color. Do not forget to wash your hands after you apply the gels or liquid blushers on your face.

Now you must be wondering how to apply these gels and liquid blushes?

Well for gels simply touch it up lightly as a dot on the apple of your cheeks and lightly touch up the cheekbone with two small spots and rub them in small circular motions to blend them well all the way from the cheeks to the hairline.

Make the face look broader and larger by looking straight into a well-lit mirror and then apply the blusher on the cheekbone from beneath the center of the eye to the temple. Suck in cheeks and use the deepest shade in the hollow making a 'C' shape up to the temple. Make sure your brush strokes do not go any higher than your eyebrows. Use a lighter shade on the highest point of the cheekbones and stop applying the blush right ahead of the under eye area. You can also add a small amount of blush on the tip of your nose, forehead and chin.

Don’t ever use blusher on underside of cheekbones.

You will see that most often the small blush brush that comes along with the cosmetic mostly won’t be of any utility. The big, round and full brush gives a sophisticated look of having your make up done by experts! And it will also give an appearance on the whole which will make you look softer and desirable. It is also very essential to use different brushes for the different blush creams and the powder.

Always apply powder blush in one single direction to prevent it from smudging all over your face.
Blush On Cheekbones

The best way that you should use to apply a blush is to take the blush on the brush and pat off all extra powder in the box itself. Just incase, if you are using gel or cream blush, put some of the gel or cream on your fingers.

The best shades for blush are warm shades like golden browns then cool, grayish browns, specially when use it to outline your cheeks.

If you want to find and locate the exact spot where the apple of your cheeks are, then look into the mirror and smile and then apply the brush in strokes that go upwards in a curve from your cheekbone to your hairline. Make sure the color of your blush is on the lighter side and well blended after you apply it so that it looks natural.

If you want your face to look longer and bigger then you should you should apply the blush in such a way that your blush is centered on the outer area of your face and near your hairline. Suck in your cheeks and use the darkest color in the hollow created and make a 'C' shape, no higher than the eyebrows on the side of your face. Apply a lighter shade above your cheekbones and below your eyes use a darker blush shade to help slim down the face. Apply lighter shades of blush on apple of your cheeks and chin.

VARIETY OF BLUSHES TO CHOOSE FROM:

Applying blush will definitely add a warmth and color to the face and it is a form of makeup that is mostly applied mainly to the cheeks. Most of us women always wish and desire to look naturally beautiful with a glowing complexion with a warm tinge to our face to give it a gorgeous yet soft look. Blushing and blush is applied as a part of makeup especially for the particular purpose to look naturally stunning!

Blushers are usually available today in the market in a large variety of colors, tones and consistencies. They may come in the form of powder, or as cream, or as liquids or gels and each of these varieties have a special utility and are perfect for different situations.

You can apply powder blush more easily than say for example, applying liquid and cream blush. The latter should always be applied before powder. You can apply blush very easily simply by sweeping it downward from the ear to mid-cheek. Most often, it is applied from top of the ear till the end of the apple of the cheek.

The perfect shades in blush should be chosen on the basis of which color comes closest to your skin tone and complement your own complexion. Hint of light shade or nude shade of blush applied on your cheek is often perfect for that natural glow with a hint of color.
Perfect Shades Of Blush

It is also very essential and vital to test the look and shade of blush on your face with full makeup to see that it makes you look balanced or not. So that the finishing appearance is natural and you don’t end up looking like a brightly done up Christmas tree.

You generally have to tone down or lighten the blushes that are of a darker shade than natural blushing colors of the cheek especially if it is for the daytime. You can do this by dabbing on some translucent or sheer powder over the blush. For the makeup for the evening or the night you can apply a bit more amount of the blush although you should decide that according to your mood and what you look you want to sport.

Applying blush as a part of your makeup can right away cheer up and freshen up a dreary and dowdy face and help you to hide the tired look on your face after a whole day of hectic activity.

Although as a word of caution do remember that don’t over use it that means if you don’t apply blush with self control and if you use too much of blush on your face then you will inevitably end up looking like a bright palette of colors!

The right way to find the shade of your natural blush color is simply bend down and touch your toes for two to three minutes and then stand straight up. The color of your cheeks then is the right blush color for you that you should go for. Yet another way to choose the shade of the right blush color for yourself is to go for the same shade as the one you are wearing on your the lip or to go with the shade of the lipstick that you are wearing. Remember shades of reds and pinks are for the winters while peaches, beiges and warm hues are more suitable for the summers.

NOW LET US SEE WHAT TYPE OF BLUSH GOES WITH WHICH TYPE OF SKIN:

If you have a combination or an oily skin in that case opt for powder blush as that would work well for these skin types. Oily skin type people can also try the liquid and gel blush but cream blush is strictly the best option for dry skin type people. Staining blushers are exclusively for skin that is well-moisturized. They need to be mixed properly with the skin and made one with the natural complexion as fast as possible as they tend to dry up very speedily.

For getting a look of healthy suntan, put on a little bronzer powder on forehead, chin and nose. An eye shadow, which is of shades that are too red, pink or rosy for your taste can be used as blush and some of it can be mixed up with Vaseline, lip-gloss or lip balm for a similar lip color to be used on the lip.
Blush Makeup for Type Of Skin

A dark or bright shade of cream blush can be lightened up readily by mixing it with a little bit of concealer on your palm. A brown shade of blush is perfect for toning down the color of blush and can also be used to outline your face, or as eye shadow or bronzer. It can also be mixed with powder for sheer blushed look.

Dark ComplexionBeing fair is not being beautiful. As in women who are dark can also look exquisitely beautiful if they have good skin and wonderful features. Or with the right makeup! Today being dark, according to me is a boon; people prefer dark complexioned women and all the super models are dark. But the only thing that is to be borne in the mind is that she should have a good make up and a healthy skin. And to counter the fair fascination of Indians we can see today world over people think that ‘brown is beautiful’! So all you need for the right blush makeup is to understand the type of dusky skin you have.

You have to understand the coloring of your skin tone:

1stly it could be Light: If you have an ivory or porcelain complexion, then your skin tone is Light.

2ndly it could be Light-Medium: If you have a rose beige, light olive, or ash brown complexion, then your skin tone is Light-Medium.

3rdly it could be Medium-Dark: If you have a yellow-beige, medium olive or rose-brown skin, then your skin tone is Medium-Dark.
Complexion

4thly you can have a Dark complexion: If you have a dark olive, bronze, rich beige or black complexion, then your skin tone is Dark.

5thly your complexion could be of the Summer / Winter-Dark Skin type: You have cool skin tones, with a pink or blue undertone, and make-up that echoes these tones will make you look healthy and alive. Avoid honey-based cosmetics that could make you look yellow and extremely unwell!

6thly and lastly you can have a Spring / Autumn-Dark Skin: You have warm skin tones, with a golden or honey tone and make-up that echoes these tones will make you look healthy and alive. Avoid blue-based cosmetics that could make you look rather grey and drawn!

Choose the right Shades for the type of skin tone you have:

Skin Tone Type  Light  Light- Medium  Medium- Dark  Dark

Liquid Foundation

Summer / Winter  Pink Blush  Rose Glaze  Pink Beige  Winter Rose Natural

Spring / Autumn  Ivory  Ivory Beige  Natural Beige  Natural Beige Natural

Liquid Concealer  Light  Light  Medium  Medium

Loose Powder  Translucent  Translucent  Translucent  Translucent

Pressed Powder  Translucent  Translucent  Translucent  Translucent

Ivory, Ivory Beige, and Natural Beige foundations have a definite warm tone to them.Pink Beige, Pink Blush, Rose Glaze and Winter Rose are for cooler skin tones. Natural foundation when mixed with any of the other 7 shades, adds a sparkle to your face which is especially good for party time. Liquid concealer can be applied before or after your foundation. Translucent powder will 'set' your make-up.

Choose the right color blusher for dark skin and for this knowing your exact skin tone was so very necessary. And so we have here the chart for the types of dusky skin and the coordinating foundation to match with it. After the foundation is applied, choose the bush makeup that suits your skin tone.
Right Color Blusher

For your blush, you should choose colors from coral, rose, deep orange. Avoid browns for blush-on. For very dark skin, try a dark rose pink color for the day and shades of bronze, plum and wine for the night. Blend the blusher over the cheekbones, as it helps to brighten the skin tone. For special occasions at night, use a touch of gold. It can really look glamorous on dark skins. Your blusher should not be pinkish. Peachish blushers work best on dusky complexion.

And with the right blush makeup, you will have that natural looking glow on your face. Your cheek bones will get defined highlighting and accentuating your face and its features! And of course that flushed look that is your face will look naturally colored and thus even a woman with a dark complexion has much to gain from blush makeup and these blusher tricks will work wonders for you!

To coordinate the blush makeup we are giving you the eye and lip makeup as well!

The right eye makeup for dark and dusky skin tone: Dark skin tone looks great with dark purple and blue colors on eyes. Dark metallic colors also look good. Silver around your eye will make them stand out and look brilliant. Finish your eyes with black eyeliner and black mascara. If you are planning to use eye shadow, avoid white or very light colors. A gold eye shadow would be complimentary where as silver one may not look good.
Lipsticks for dark complexion: If you have a dark skin, go for warm, earthy colors for your lips. Gold, bronze and maroon color lipsticks are in fact most excellent for dusky skins. Lighter colors like mauve, pink and silver suit on fairer skins and do not go with a dusky skin tone. Choose lipsticks with matte finish rather than frosted ones. The shades should not be too dark or too light. Medium dull shades would look best. Bright pinks or reds are an absolutely no.

Remember always that the perfect blush makeup should give you a look of natural and healthy glow and color!

Then she prefers to spot-apply the foundation only where she sees the need of it. A little liquid foundation goes under the eyes to hide circles and around the mouth to even out the skin tone and lighten any shadows.
If she is in a genuine and great hurry, then she has to give up putting the eye shadow for that day alone.

After that, she curls her lashes.
Apply Cream Blusher

And now comes the most important part of makeup for us, blush makeup. While the eyelashes take time to set, you can use those few moments to apply cream blusher. Cream based make up last longer and can stay the whole day much more efficiently than powders.
A powder formula needs you to apply loose or pressed face powder as the base firstly, so that the blusher won't smudge. And definitely early morning a modern multi-tasking woman will have no time for all that step by step make up that will take time.

Simply a little touch up applied lightly with a little cream blusher on your cheek will do the trick. Just use your ring finger to pat it evenly into your skin.

Using the accurate shade matters. A neutral blusher will match with any and every outfit you choose to wear. You can have faith in a sheer orangey-brown shade if your skin is fair to medium in tone; choose a reddish-brown cream blusher if skin is dark. You can’t make a mistake with this shade

If you can manage the time then, you can apply a cream eye shadow. An eye shadow with a touch of shine helps to brighten up weary eyes. Also, you can use a neutral shade, such as a mink-brown or plum-mauve, when you're have little time to spare on how you look and make-up. You may or may not have the time to wear eye shadow, but do not forget to find the time for applying a coat of black mascara.

All-in-one pencil: think of an oversized makeup crayon and you will get an idea. Pencils are possibly the easiest way to apply color, and if bought in a neutral shade like rosy brown or copper, can be used on eyes, cheeks and lips as well. Tip: Sharpen your pencil before you use it on your eyes to make sure that it is clean and germ-free and thus safe to use. Go for the all-in-one pencils by Chanel and Molton Brown.
Color Cream

Color cream: For women who like to use their fingers to apply, creams are the perfect products. Creams are available in the market either in tubes or in pots, and their soft texture works amazingly well especially on drier and older skin. Tip: If you use a cream color on your eyelids, prep them with a dusting of loose powder to help prevent from any mid-day creasing. Look for color creams by Bobbi Brown and Pretty Pretty.

Sticks: All-over color sticks are quite similar to blush sticks. They are perfect for using on cheeks and lips, not on eyes because you will find them messier to be applied on eyes and often too soft to stay for too long on your blinking eyelids. Tip: Apply color straight from the stick, and then use your fingers or a makeup sponge to blend. Look for color sticks by Nars and L'Oreal.

Remember all the forms of make up we just spoke about can definitely speed up the blush makeup application but these makeup are multi-purpose and can be used for more than one type of makeup.

IT’s all about blush!

Cream Blush ColorCream Blush: Talking about Cream blush we must tell you that it is particularly perfect for usage by the older women with dryer skin. This particular type of blush cosmetic put in another coating of protection. Cream blush also gives your face and the skin of your face that much needed nourishment as a result of which you look exceptionally beautiful!

To apply cream blush color is also very easy; simply dot the cream blush on your cheek bone. Use a sponge or preferably a, makeup brush to mix together up with your skin and out in round and round motion into the apple and cheekbone area. Merge the cream blush into your hairline.

Makeup Blush Cosmetic blush doesn´t always have to be put on at the end of your makeup routine. Apply the cream blush after your put your moisturizer but before putting on your foundation. This will give you a natural-looking, delicate and fine glow on your face.

Makeup blush comes in many types and as we said before cream blush works well on older ladies whose skin tend to become dryer with age. However cream blush can also be of great use to teenagers and youngsters if they want a sheer hint of color like what you get with a gel blush.

Although let me remind you here that the popular powder blush has lengthy staying capacity. So if you want your blush to last for a really long time then you close your eyes and don’t think much just go for the powder blush. You are sure to get an amazing color that lasts as long as you want it to last!

For a bright and new and for a natural look in makeup you could try and apply a tinted moisturizing cream, sweep a light blush or bronzer for your cheeks, put on a Cosmetic Blushlight coating of mascara and dab on a lip gloss. And you will get the look that you desire. Your innate beauty will blossom and come out!

When it comes to blush application, many women are often can’t decide about where to apply the cosmetic blush. Blush should always be put on, to the fullest part of your cheek. Take your blush brush and stroke the color back toward the temple with a blusher brush.

Once your blush is in done, take a cotton ball or a makeup sponge and blend until you have just a light trace of natural looking blush color. Remember to keep it natural is your aim while applying blush makeup. Blush make up should be understated and restrained. Subtle is the mantra of makeup blush. No strips of extra and garish looking color should remain on your face.

When you hear of ‘Natural Blush’, you may be unsure of what color of makeup blush should you go for? You are looking for natural color from makeup blush. Take a good look at your face when you come indoors from the chilly and windy outdoors or after you do exercises. Then the color of your cheeks that you will see is your natural color and the exact part of your cheeks where you blush naturally, as well.

Coming to makeup and applying both blush and lipstick always remember to match your lipstick to your blush. For example red lipstick and apricot blush cant go together. Stick to these pairs of lipsticks and blushes:

1. Red lipstick with reddish or pink blush.

2. Rose lipstick with rose blush.

3. Pink lipstick with pink blush.

4. Coral or apricot lipstick with peachy toned blush.

5. Brown toned lipstick with bronze shades of blush with the same undertones as the lipstick.

While applying your blush stroke to put on your blush makeup, use strokes that sweep upward motions for unblemished and perfect application.

To find that right part of your Cheek where you should put on your blusher it is okay if you aren’t sure of it yourself. In that case to find out where to apply your blush, smile big and you will find your natural cheek. Then just brush on your blush while you keep smiling. In this way you will have an amazingly accurate and faultless application of blush makeup each time!
Blush Brush Fits The Cheeks

Find a blush brush that perfectly fits the size of the apple of your cheek when you smile. A size huger than that and you'll get blush where you don't want it. You ideally should not use a large blush brush for putting on blush makeup. Those are intended for putting on shimmery powders.

Lift up the blush with your blush brush up by lightly tapping the blush with the tips of the bristles of the brush. If you sweep the brush across the color, you'll pick up much more color than about the color you will need. This way you waste a lot of your blush makeup. So to save your blush from being wasted gently hit the ends of the bristles about 2-3 times onto the color. Shake off any extra color. You should hardly be able to see the color on the brush. Don't worry about that, you will have enough on to do the trick!

When putting on the blush, don't "sweep" or "stroke" the color across the cheeks. You'll usually end up smudging the color on, and then have to go back to 'correct' and 'blend' the color with your skin tone. The correct alternative way to put on blusher is simply to smile, and then tap on gently going across your cheeks. By tapping the color onto the brush, and then tapping in onto the cheeks. This way you will keep away from putting on excess color, smudging and such other blunders. Tapping on merges the color for you and your blush makeup becomes one with your natural skin tone. You can always add more color if you think you need to.

What do you do when the blush color becomes too bright while taking picking it up with your blush brush? Don’t worry. Simply swipe your blush brush across a Kleenex to remove any extra color, and then pick up some loose powder. Sweep over and blend your blush into your skin. You'll get a softer, more 'real' look to your blush.

Soft and silky powder is made to draw attention to and outline the cheek bone structure. Sheer, powder blush will blend with your skin tone uniformly and easily with natural and long-lasting glowing color.

ONE SMALL BLUSH TIP:

Ideal Blush Make UpThe ideal blush makeup should be such that it should care for your skin and give some color to your cheeks!

Blush makeup can be used to make your cheekbones looked higher or to "lift" your cheekbones and outline your face.

Draw a mental line downwards from the center of your eye in your imaginations. This is the extreme point on the cheek till where blush should be put on.

Sweep the blush along the cheekbone from hair line downwards to prevent from putting on too much blusher color on your cheek and making yourself look like an overdone Christmas tree!

The new creamy new rouge is a pure cream blush that mixes with your natural skin tone easily and uniformly with perfection to create a satisfying and natural-looking finish. The cream rouge is easy to wear and will give your skin tone and texture an instantaneous 'lift'. It warms up even dull skin and thus ends up giving you a healthy glowing skin texture and tone.

BLUSH MAKE-UP MADE SIMPLE FOR YOU:

Natural Blush MakeUpBlush makeup should give you a balmy, natural and innate looking color of blood rushing to your cheeks - this is what the real or the natural blush does. Blush makeup adds intensity to your face by outlining and accentuating your cheeks. It brings out your personal or your inner glow.

However here we feel sorry to say, that because blush comes in a broad diversity of types, colors, shades and tones that it very easy and very likely that you get confused when it comes to choose which shade is just the suitable one for your skin. So here are a few useful tips for learners, lay person and amateurs and the skillful and proficient equally. Read carefully to get all the necessary information on one of the cosmetic industry's best inventions - blush makeup of course!

To decide and select the suitable shade of blush for your skin tone is very important. This is almost if not absolutely same as selecting the right shade for your foundation, concealer or eye shadow. It is difficult to point out and get the right one. To do this it would require you to understand the skin color theory. But, you don’t need to get worried as it is very simple. Moreover blushers today are very flexible and come in a variety of types and shades. They will mix with your skin tone with no trouble. However if you go wrong in the application of blush makeup then your face may end up looking worn out with colors that are all smudged or you may even look like a clown.

You may wonder about the factors that have to be considered while selecting a blusher. Well there are some much uncomplicated things to take into account like skin tone, intensity and the context.

Skin tone

You have to understand whether your skin is of a warm or of a cool tone.
Incase your skin tone has a yellow undertone then you should go for cool colors like mauve, rose and pinkish plum which will look better in your skin tone.

If your skin tone is of the olive shade then colors like orange, copper, almond or peach is appropriate for olive-skinned people like you.

Incase you are very dark-skinned your skin can have a bluish tone and in that case you can go for dark red or auburn color blush makeup.

Those of you who have a neutral look can go for any color.

People with pink skin tone can get away without a blush at all. And if you want you can enhance it further with suitable colors that complement your natural skin tone.

Skin intensity

Skin IntensityRemember the darker the skin you have, the intense the color of the blush. Similarly it goes that the lighter the skin you have, the lighter the blush.

However intensity of the color of your blush is very crucial for your look. It can make or spoil your look.  So having the right intensity of color is important. Blush color that will be too weak compared to your skin tone will not even be seen.

Ladies who are of a fair complexion may use shades for blusher that range from a light pinkish red to beige. Fair women can also apply powder blush on top to have that translucent effect.

Ladies with a medium skin tone should go for blush shades like warm pinks, brown-based pinks or soft beige.

For the olive-skinned women we suggest that you go for blush makeup of shades like brown-red, soft berry, honey beige or plum pink.

Women who have dark skin tone can use blush colors of deep bronze, soft mahogany or cocoa.

Context

Also regard the color of your hair and eyes. Dark or black hair has a tendency to make the skin look lighter. So a more intense and deeper color of blush than the one we have suggested for the different skin-tone types may be needed.

Neutral shades like a bronzer should go well and be suitable for both blonde hair and darker skinned people.

Peach is a safer and a suitable color for red heads or those with loud hair colors, since the blush color matches up with and complements with the hair color.
Right Blush Color Selection

Another thing that you have to see is whether you are putting on makeup for daytime or night-time? Lighter shades and natural-looking colors like warm pinks, beige, peach, and mauve is more appropriate for evening affairs. A bronzer can also be a replacement for blushers if you want a sun-kissed look.

The right blush-color selection is certainly easier than choosing the right life partner! Trust us on it. All you need to do is do some physical activities like exercise for about few minutes till your cheeks turn pink as blood circulates and rushes to your face. The flush on your face right after a physical activity is your natural blush.

If you are still confused and unable to understand what should be the right shade that is best for your skin tone and for you then ask someone from the make-up counter. Since they are professionals who have charts and color wheels to help you chose the right blush shade, it is best that you consult them to help with the selection of the right blush color.

Applying the blush before you buy is also very important. If you’re contemplating to buy a blush, keep in mind that you won’t get to know the actual shade of the blusher until and unless you try it on. Put it on the inside of your forearm to understand the shade. If it blends with your skin tone, then you have got the right shade of blush!

Trying out the right shade and blush color will be in need of a face with full make-up on. This will help you to know if your blush is in sync with the rest of your make-up. It is important to see to it that your blush makeup will in tune with the color of your lipstick. Sweep over a little blush to the tip of your nose and chin. This helps to give your face a defined and poised look.

To make sure that your blush will mix with the rest of your make-up, sweep on your blusher at the beginning or else it will compete with your eye shadow and lipstick. Incase you discover that you have put on too much blush makeup; there is no need to worry. Simply get a dry and clean tissue or makeup sponge to reduce the colors. Bear in mind, this will all be in futile until and unless you don’t know the correct way to put on blush makeup.

Blush Make UpBlush make up is particularly helpful to highlight and accentuate your cheekbones.  It should be put on in moderation and with restraint to give your face the naturally flushed look that you get right after doing some physical activity or right after you come home from the outdoors.  To understand and identify where your natural blush spots are look into the mirror right after physical workout or after you return from out door activity. Those spots on your face rather on your cheeks where you see a flushed reddish-pink glow are the spots where you should apply your blush make up.

Blush makeup is available in a many shades and colors.  You should choose one that matches with your face skin tone and looks natural on you.  For example if your skin has pink or blue undertones, you should go for blushers of colors from the rose family.  And suppose your skin has yellow undertones then we suggest you to go for blushers from the peach family which will work best for you.  Dark women or women of color simply look gorgeous with blushers of shades from the burgundy family.

After you select the right blush type. It is time to learn the right ways of wearing blusher you must remember that it is a preferred fact that the color of your blush should go with the color of your cheeks just as it looks right after you exercise or come back from the outdoors. This make up color is usually a little darker than your normal skin color.
Blush For Deeper Shade

Be alert and cautious and look at yourself in the mirror carefully while putting on the blush to make sure that the blusher doesn't get in your hairline.

If you like you may use a deeper shade of blusher to define and outline your face.  You should start wearing your blusher from the earlobe downward to mid-cheek.  Then you should use a lighter shade of blush to draw attention to the cheek.

If you want a healthy tanned or sun-kissed look to your face you can try using a peach- colored blusher.

If you already have a tanned complexion then you can apply bronzing powder to your cheeks instead of wearing a blusher.

Apply the foundation by dabbing on loose powder and then apply a powder blush over this.

If you ever look a little pale but do not have blush with you then simply give your cheeks a quick pinch! And you will get the color naturally!
Blush For Looking Pale

But suppose you look pale and are lucky enough to have a blusher with you. Then in that case, sweep your brush with a light stroke of blusher across your forehead up by your hairline or right above your brows where the sun usually reflects on your face to give your face a glow.

Always keep in mind to use a blush brush the size of your cheek area so you don’t apply blush on other areas apart from the right spot. Thus you would do the mistake of applying blush in excess if you don’t use the brush of the exact size of your cheeks.

If you are lucky enough to have the rarest of rare blessing to be born with a perfect and unblemished complexion and you actually don’t need to wear foundation. Then for the natural look you could try wearing a liquid or crème, or gel blush.

Incase you are not sure of and don’t know about which color blush will suit your skin tone and face the best and work the wonders for you. Then in this case opt for blushers with pink or rose tone.  A pleasant rosy glow on your face is of course the most flattering for anyone and everyone.

Always remember to choose and go for a shade of blush that goes together with the shade of the lipstick that you’re wearing.

Remember that whenever you apply a gel or tint, apply it by sweeping the blusher in a circular motion around the “apple” of your cheeks and then move up and outward toward the hairline.

THE STEPS TO APPLY BLUSH MAKEUP CORRECTLY:

The first step to apply blush makeup is to get yourself a good and thick brush to apply your blush.
Apply Blush Make Up

The second step for applying blush is to put on your usual foundation and powder.

The third step is to take a look into the mirror and smile to locate the “apples” of your cheeks. Then, dab your blush brush on the powder, tap off the extra blush color, and brush it softly over the apple of your cheek, moving upwards toward the ear, with short, up-and-down vertical movements.

The fourth and final step is to mix your blusher and make it even with your skin tone by one soft horizontal sweep on top of the vertical ones. Use a makeup sponge and blot the sponge on top to remove the extra, or cover evenly with your usual powder.

And that’s it! You have got the look you wanted…as your face glows with color and you look gorgeous. And no one understands that the color on your face is actually the result of perfect application of blush makeup!

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT BLUSHER MAKEUP BRUSH FOR YOURSELF:

Blusher MakeUp BrushFor blush makeup in particular and makeup in general, there is no amount of hesitation and uncertainty in the fact that makeup brushes are the most important tools.

If you are not choosy, picky and extremely selective about (to a peak of being obsessively finicky!) your makeup brushes. Then perhaps you have yet not come across or felt their ‘miraculous’ power.

Makeup brushes can work wonders for you or ruin your makeup especially when it comes to something as delicate as blush makeup that has to be subtle and understated.

Still not satisfied?  Then you must ask any professional makeup artist. Makeup artists are very much emotionally involved with their brushes and care for them carefully to ensure they can achieve ‘miracle’ forever and ever, without fail. Their dexterity and abilities are improved with the right and high quality brushes. Even great makeup artists like the late Kevin Aucoin and William Tuttle could not think beyond their favorite brushes!

If you want to choose a high quality makeup brush then you must first understand what makes up a Makeup Brush and brushes in common. Because, comprehending this will enable you choose or buy quality makeup brush which with the right care can last for a very long time.

So to understand makeup brushes better you can say that a brush can be divided into three parts: Hair, Ferrule and Handle. The most vital part about selecting your cosmetic brushes, of course, is selecting the right Hair Type to do the job you want. Once, you know what hair type you are looking at, you can then look at the made up or construction of the brush on a whole like the construction of the ferrule and the handle. So, basically, you want to check for the following:

1. Hair (The Most essential concern):

Hair Of BlushCheck the hair type, density, cut and shape as they affect hair quality.
The hair type: Makeup Brush Hair Type is the most crucial aspect especially for choosing your makeup brush. The best and the choice of professional makeup artists is natural hair type. The hair quality affects the prices of makeup brushes and ranges from the finest and most expensive Kolinsky sable to the most common natural bristle. Kolinsky sable, squirrel, mink and weasel are used in top quality brushes. Other decent quality choices include Goat, Pony and hair blends. Synthetics such as Nylon and Taklon are best left for use on eyebrows and for applying foundations, respectively.

CUT: This refers to the method by which the hair is harvested. It makes an enormous difference because virgin, first-cut fur makes the softest makeup brush and can make not-so-high ‘grade’ hair types cosmetic brushes feel as soft as possible for that particular hair type. First-cut (Top grade) hair is also cruelty-free, as they are trimmed off from the tips of the fur. That is why they feel the softest on your skin. The best way to understand I presume, is to imagine how the tips of our own hair would feel after a hair cut. Blunt-cut hair refers to the ‘lower’ cut of the fur. They are much coarser and can feel prickly against your skin. Try to think of brushing cropped prickly hair against your face…OUCH that will hurt!

Blunt-cuts are widely used in lower quality cosmetic brushes because they are much cheaper than the first cut. Of course, this information is rarely provided but a good way to test is to look at the tips of the hair of the makeup brush. The finely pointed (natural-looking) ones are most likely the first-cut.

The shape and density determine whether they will perform the job intended, effectively and efficiently. You want the makeup brushes to do magic and do it fast!

Normally in the market, you will find three kinds of makeup brush shape – square cut, chisel cut, and round cut. No, we’re not discussing about diamonds here! When we talk about makeup brush shape we’re referring to the shape of the tips of the cosmetic brushes.

High quality brushes are hand made, not machine made, as hand shaped makeup brushes have their precious tips (first-cut) still in one piece. The machine cannot match up to the proficient hands of the ‘masters’. You may ask why so? Well, that’s because machines can’t ‘shape’ the makeup brushes without letting go of (trimming) the soft tips of the makeup brushes.

2. Ferrule (Metal part)

Check that it is seamless. That means, exactly that – no seams around it! Most makeup brushes are seamless. Metal types used include Aluminum (usually Aluminum Alloy as Aluminum by itself is impossibly soft), Copper and Brass (strongest). Whatever the metal type, ensure they are double crimped (2 circles around them) to avoid wobbly handles.
Handle Of Blush

3. Handle
Check that it is made from hard wood and that the length or overall weight feels good in your hand. The length of the handle is a matter of personal choice but usually most prefer around 7” or thereabouts.

Before you select a buy and decide to buy it, do compare the different products and prices that are available in the market. You will come across a wide variety in terms of qualities and prices and you can take your pick from the ones that you feel are soft and made with natural hair. The sales person can assist you to choose as they deal with brushes and thus have a fair knowledge and idea about them.

HIGH ON BLUSH!!

Blusher is one of the most difficult of makeup to apply. It must be mixed together perfectly with the natural skin tone so that there is no callous and rough edges standing out and your best features must be subtly enhanced.
Choosing the correct color for your skin tone is very crucial. The accurate color that will go with your natural skin tone will give you a healthy glow and a natural looking color!
High On Blush

The wrong color will make you look either pale or tired or like an overdone Christmas tree. Words of advice here, that is identify and understand your best features and then call attention to and accentuate your beautiful cheekbones or a high forehead or a perfect chin by using blusher to subtly draw attention to them.
See at the whole picture: that is always balance or match blusher to your lipstick color as well as your clothes.

Cheek color should be put on after foundation or on a clean and bare skin, if your skin looks good without foundation. Make sure to put on a fine layer of pressed or loose power on naked skin first, and then apply blusher. Applying a light coat of powder is necessary to keep oily areas from causing blush to get blotchy or streak.  And this is what makeup professional Peter Lamas advices (By Peter Lamas, BeautyWalk Founder). There are many things you have to choose from when it comes to blush makeup application. These things are:

• Formulas - pick and choose the one right for you.

• Color Selection - Match with your skin tone and wardrobe. Your blusher should complement your clothes and your skin tone.

• Application Tips – application methods are very important. So here are some Mistake-proof techniques that are sure to work wonders for you!

• Shape & Blush – blush makeup can hide your flaws and accentuate your beauty thus it can and does reshape your face with your blush

THE FOUR FORMS OF BLUSH MAKEUP THAT YOU CAN FIND IN THE MARKET:

There are many types of blushers available in the market. They are of different tones and textures. You can today choose from not only a wide variety of colors but also types and textures of skin. So go ahead and indulge yourself and choose your blusher. While choosing it will always help if you remember some of the tips we have already mentioned in this article or we will remind you again in due course. Like for example cream blushers work exceptionally well for older and drier skin as they can make them look moisturized. On the other hand, you should go for powder blushers if you want your blush makeup to last for a really long time. The four types of blushes you can find today are:

Powder Blush– powder blushes are very popular. It has a soft, light and opaque appearance. Powder blush blends really well with your foundation after sprinkling on some translucent powder.
Cream Blush

Gel Blush– gel blushers are of sheer and delicate or fine colors. They really go well with the natural look.

Cream Blush– cream blushers have stronger colors and can be applied with no trouble over the natural face or over a creamy make up base.

Tint Blush- tint blushers usually have a sheer and therefore they are natural to look at. You can sweep it over quite easily over a moisturized face.

Get Cheeky! Choose the right Cheek Color Formula that is just right for you.

There are several Blush Formulations. So go ahead and indulge your self as you are spoilt with choices. But come out victorious by selecting the one right for you that highlights your features and complements you in every whichever way possible!

So to speak elaborately now you know that the blush formulas are available in forms like: Powder, Crème, Cheek Pencil, Bronzer, Tinted Moisturizer…

Today there is a millions of ways to blush out there in the market. Go to your local cosmetic - counter and you can get different formulas.  Experiment with a few formulas from your favorite brands. Always keep your skin type - oily, normal or dry - in mind when testing blushers.

Here we bring you some more tips that you should keep in mind before you make your choice and buy. So we make it easier for you to choose among the different types and formulas that are available today!

Incase you are considering Powder Blush, remember Powder blush makeup is the popular of all types and a great all-time favorite. It is just right for any skin type as it suits all skin types well. It is light, sheer and natural to look at. It makes for convenience or easy for touchups during the day. Because it's sheer, it's easy to layer using two or more colors. Many women use beige or cocoa-brown tone to highlight cheekbones and temples and slim the sides of the nose, then superimpose it with a cheeky color for extra glow.
Gel Blush

If you are thinking about going for Crème Blush, then remember crème blush makes way for a great way to blush especially for normal to dry skin. Crème offers more strong color than powder, so use in moderation and in limited quantities and blend it well with your skin tone. Crème blushes are more than everything else perfect for evenings, under candlelight! Since crème formulas usually have the most moisturizers and/or oils, they hold on to the skin better and tend to last longer on the skin. Some women use crème blush as a 'base,' then brush a light coat of matching powder blush over it for an all-day or all-night glow.

Now if you are considering Liquid or Gel blushers then remember liquid or gel blushers are amazingly lasting. That is they can stay on you for a very long time and they have a good staying capacity. Many of then are oil-free which make them a much more suitable choice than a crème blush, for those of you with oily skin. Some are water-resistant, too.

Practice makes a woman perfect and this is particularly true when it comes to applying blusher. So begin with a little amount on your fingertips or a sponge and build-up color gradually for best results.

Then you can also consider Cheek Pencils and go for them. Remember cheek pencils are absolutely terrific for beginners because you can have a great deal of control over these cheek pencils while you apply them on yourself. However people with oily skin beware and be on alert. These cheek pencils are often formulated with extra moisturizers and emollients to keep them supple and blend able. So look out for oil-free formulas and buy them if you have an oily skin to take care of. Stroke on and use your fingers to blend to a sheer hint of color.
powder Blush

Finally you can also go for Bronzers. There are liquid, powder, gel or crème blushers yes but instead of these for a rosy glow, another option is the bronzer for the sun-kissed look. Bronzers are best for faking or enhancing the tanned, golden glow of a week in a beach. Like liquid blush, bronzers take a little practice but they are worth it!

Use and apply blush makeup as per instructions. Use colors on your face sparingly. Keep practicing until and unless you get the hang of it. Bronzer has especially pleasing effect on medium and deep-toned complexions. Fair-skinned people should go only the lightest shades, even if you have a tan, then mix with the lightest hint of color.

Also you can consider tinted moisturizers. The tinted moisturizers give you another alternative for full-face glowing. Tinted moisturizers are a good 2-in-1 choice for weekends, active sports, vacations and other times when you want just a little color along with the added bonus of moisture protection, too. Since normally there is more moisturizer than color in these formulas, normal to oily skin should pick an oil-free formula and use in little quantities to avoid an overly shiny look.

How to choose your colors -- Glow hot or stay cool?

How To Your ColourContrary to popular belief, whatever your skins tone maybe, fair, medium, or deep, you can blush in almost any color. However do keep in mind that it's the depth or intensity of color that can work wonders on you or ruin your look. If the color is too deep or intense, it can look garish, gaudy and tasteless on light skins. If it's too faint, the color can fade away quickly and easily from medium to deep-toned skin.
If your skin has a cool cast, your best blush will probably be on the cool-toned side.
A rich rose for example, rather than a hot pink. If your skin has warm golden or olive tones, your best blush probably falls on the warm side, too.
