How to get an Angelina Jolie Hair Style

Angelina Jolie has a wonderful long uniform hair that is grown strong. So how can you grow you hair long and strong an get an Angelina Jolie hairstyle? The is no way to have an instant Angelina Jolie hairstyle. To have long and strong hair you need to have time and patience to work with your hair throughout the growth cycle. There are many options for helping your hair to reach its maximum potential during the growth cycle.

Taking the Time

In order to have an Angelina Jolie hairstyle you need to have commitment and focus. You also need to make sure you have the write hair to go with this style. Lost with fine, thin or severely damaged hair will not be able to maintain their hair past a medium length. There are also some environment factors and prescription medications that can affect the overall length a hair is able to grow. However, even if you have the right type of hair you will need to take time, effort and focus to grow your hair long and strong. If you want to grow about thirty inches of hair you will have to be prepared to wait at least five years to get it there. Each individual will have to determine if waiting that long of time is worth it for them or if they would prefer another hair style.

Growing Your Hair

At the beginning of your growth cycle it is important to get rid of the damaged parts of your hair. You can either do this yourself or go to a hairdresser and tell them that you want to trim off the damaged and split ends because you want to grow your hair long and strong. Your hairdresser will also likely discuss the proper handling of your damaged hair and how to start a good conditioning program.

As you grow your hair it is important to trim it every eight to ten weeks. This allows your hair to look and feel healthy. It also allows you to maintain the shape of your hair as it grows through the stages. Even if your hair doesn’t look like it needs it, it is always important to have regular trims done. If you are going to do the trimming yourself then it is important that you use high quality and professional scissors. Dull scissors will only rip or tear the delicate ends of your hair.

The Role of Diet

A major part of keeping your hair healthy is to make sure you take the right vitamins and minerals. Thinning hair can result from nutritional deficiencies. Frizzy and brittle hair can also result from an under active thyroid while hair is greasy or limp with a over active thyroid. You hair will be the best if you have a healthy and well nourished body on the inside.

A proper blend of amino acids and B Vitamins will help you to maximize the genetic growth cycle of your hair. Your supplemental program should include Vitamin B-6, Biotin, Inositol and Folic Acid. Magnesium, sulfur, silica and zinc are some important minerals that you should include in your diet in order to maintain healthy hair. To help your hair growth it is important to have Beta-Carotene in your diet. This helps normal growth and bone development. You can easily find it in green and yellow vegetables and fruit.

Brushing

When trying to grow your hair long and strong it is important to avoid unnecessary brushing, combing or handling. Investing in the proper brush is very important. You should use a brush that has any tiny knobs on the end of the bristles since it will rip and tear the hair.

When brushing you shouldn’t do it excessively. Only brush enough to style your hair and remove any knots. Split ends and ripped hair can result from excessive brushing. When you brush it is important to bend forward and allow your hair to gently fall over your face. When possible you should use a brush with natural bristles and a wooden base. Start at the nape of your neck and brush over your head and down to the end of the strands. Use your hands to reduce static after each brush stroke. Never brush wet hair since this can cause damage, always wait until your hair is completely dry before brushing.
