Head Louse Eggs: A Serious Issue

Head louse eggs are even more problematic than the louse. This is because they seem as dandruff and action, if not taken on time, creates more problem. The head louse eggs are very irritating because they are attached with hair follicles and are difficult to remove with fingers. Head louse eggs are tougher to remove than louse.

A female louse lays fifty nits or eggs on an average per day. These eggs live for about a month. They are hatched and become lice. They lay eggs further, thus creating more problems. Hair will be full of them. Head louse eggs are mainly found in dampened and dirty head scalp. This is because in sun kissed scalp and scalp, which is clean, there are rare chances of lice.

The symptoms are, the person who is infested with lice will scratch his head  unbearably. Stinging type of feeling will irritate time and again. You will feel embarrassed and irritated. You can remove nits with the help of medicated shampoos. You can apply them as per instructions. You have to then use the fine-toothed comb and move it along the scalp by brushing the hair. You will find a lot of dead lice and nits. However you have to repeat this cycle again to get out of it completely. You will still not be satisfied as the head louse eggs are attached with hair follicles. Thus, it is difficult to remove completely.

When I am rushing around and dont have time to wash my hair and it looks kind of greasy I take a little bit of baby powder and a bit on my head and smooth it down it covers up the grease and makes your hair look clean if you do it right. - Submitted by Claire
