Head Louse Treatment: Very Useful to You

Head louse has to be treated as fast as possible as if you are late, you will have to pay the price. You will repent. So be fast in treating head louse. Head lice spread like fire and thus multiply. If not checked on time, you will end up being tired of itches and scratches.

Head louse can be treated with the help of natural remedies like tea tree oil, neem based shampoos etc. Also there are lotions that use chemical base and are fast in action. But they should be used only when the problem of lice is confirmed. Do not be too hasty to understand dandruff as nit as both have a similar look. Take proper measures for head louse treatment.

Remember that if one person in the family gets infestation, others may also get it. So be cautious. The lice, multiplies like anything and lives on blood of your scalp. You will suffer from itches. This will make you irritated.

The chemical solutions should be used to fight with head louse. Phenothrin,  Malathion, and Permethrin are some of the pesticides that can be sold with out prescription. You can get it from any medical store. However Carbaryl is too strong and gives definite results. But this is only on prescription. These can be in the form of shampoos, lotions, liquid etc. These are mostly alcohol based and thus they are hard on lice. But people having asthama are not advised to use this. They should use water- based pesticides. However water base is not suitable for children below two years and pregnant females.

The chemical based lotions or liquids should be applied on the scalp and should be kept for around 12-14 hours and has to be washed thoroughly then. These are effective on live lice and not the nits. So you should wait for the eggs to be hatched. Thus repeat this treatment again after 10 days. This will clear lice from your head.

Combing treatment has to be accompanied with any other treatment. You have to use specially designed comb with fine tooth, useful for lice removal. Today, bug- busting kits are available which has various types of lice combs. However alone, this treatment will not be that effective.
