Garlic lemon paste, applied on scalp and hair gives good results. Garlic plays role of disinfectant. You have to keep it for half an hour. Keep it for about three hours. Then comb your hair, you will find many lice dead. Another important home remedy for head louse is a paste of almond and lemon. If this paste is applied on scalp and hair, you will get excellent results. You can also wash with your hair with vinegar. Tea tree oil serves as a very good lice combat treatment. It also forms part of ayurvedic medicines for lice. Even some shampoos have tea tree oil. But use of pure and plain tea tree oil will keep you at a surprise. Neem leaves can be boiled with water. This should be applied on hair and scalp. It is very good means to fight lice. After this the hair should be washed thoroughly and combed in detail and you will catch may lice dead.

In this way you can use any of the home- made remedy for head louse to get rid of it. This is a cheap and safe means. You do not face any side effects. You are not using the chemical solutions thus you are not at a risk of allergy.

Apart from this there are certain cautions that should be maintained. People at home should be educated about the dangers of sharing caps, hats etc. The combs should also not be shared. Once a person in your family gets head louse, his pillow, comb, bed sheets etc has to be isolated. Every one in he house should be told that how important it is t keep the head scalp sun kissed, clean and fresh. Only humid and damp conditions attract head louse. After the treatment is over and you come out gracefully out of this problem, you have to clean and disinfect sofas, couch, blankets, bed sheets combs etc that you were using till now. This will serve as a safety measure in future.
