Liposuction Surgery: Careful Tips for Pre and Post SurgeryLiposuction has become too popular in the world as a means to get rid of unwanted fat that is accumulated in a particular area of the body. Liposuction is possible in almost all parts of the body including face, neck, arms, breasts, tummy, buttocks, hips etc. Liposuction in medical context means removal of fat from beneath the skin with the help of a cannula and a strong vacuum. The unwanted fat is sucked off. If you have tried many things to get rid of the unwanted fat that is accumulated in a particular area in your body like arms, hips, legs, neck, stomach etc., but have failed to attain a perfect body, you may try liposuction. Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery where by you are treated to remove the unwanted fat from the focused area of the body. This procedure is usually recommended for those people who are conscious about their physical appearance so much that looking un-presentable interferes with their self-esteem and capacity of being productive, and people who cannot loose the fat in certain parts of the body and would prefer to do so. Even after diets and long schedules of exercises if you have failed to have a best-shaped body, you may try liposuction. Liposuction is a bit cheaper than cosmetic surgery. This is because it is safer and less complicated as compared to other types of cosmetic surgery. But it is definitely an expensive affair and not every one’s cup of tea. But people have become beauty conscious and due to this liposuction is gaining grounds on the globe and has become the talk of the day. But it is a surgery that follows a process. Before anything is done, the surgeon has to evaluate you physically. There is requirement for blood tests, and a physical examination. The best group for liposuction surgery is those who are healthy, within normal weight, but have a few “bad” areas. This is because in such a person’s body if liposuction is carried out it is less risky. Surgery is not threatening but only a day procedure, and is done in a standard hospital operating room. But what is important is that the surgeon must be an expert. The surgeon will put you under anesthesia, numbing the area of operation. Generally local anesthesia is preferred than general anesthesia. The surgeon will make an incision on the focused area. He will then insert a vacuum-like instrument that will suck the fat out. When this is completed, the surgeon will bandage the area with an elastic-like garment that will help mold the area in the shape it needs to be in. This garment plays a very important role in surgery. It helps the area to recover faster. It helps to stay away from scars and swellings post surgery. Post surgery care is very important. You are not allowed to do too much of physical activity for a few weeks. However, you may get back to your routines within a couple of days. You may experience a bit of pain, swelling and drainage from the area, but you will be prescribed antibiotics to keep away from infection. After 10 days, the stitches will be removed, or they will fall out on their own. After a couple of months of surgery, you may again develop the fat in that area. But you must exercise and eat diet foods to keep away those fatty stuffs. Keeping your body toned is very important post surgery. |
