Make-Up Organization

Make up, for most women, is a part of everyday morning rituals. You take a shower. You wash your hair. You get dressed. You put on make up. In fact, I know some women who refuse to leave the house, even go to the grocery store without make up on. Some women have more make up than others. And if those women are like me sometimes you have too much make up to keep track of. How many of us have make up drawers with long lost mascara tubes? How many tubes of lipstick do you have? And why is it that we can never seem to throw any of it away because you just never know when you may need it?

I think it’s time for organization emergency ladies!! Why not? You organize your shoes, your closets, even your pantries. Why not your make up?  There are companies who do manufacture make up containers and jars to help women just like us. And you have no idea how much you need it until you actually get it.

Imagine having your cosmetic counter or vanity neatly arranged each morning. Imagine having a container for your Q-Tips, your cotton balls, your make up sponges, your blush brushes, your eye shadow applicators and lipstick brushes. Imagine jars holding all of your lipstick tubes, eye pencils, lip pencils and mascara applicators. You’d be able to find everything you need immediately, without fuss and easily. It would save you so much time during your primping stage!                                                          

Here are some common types of organization products:

Acrylic Containers

These containers are used most frequently to hold cotton balls and Q-Tips. Price ranges from $2.00 to $18.00 depending upon the size, make and weight you get.

Double Walled Jars

These are useful to contain loose powders. Price ranges from $.50 to $5.00.

Plastic Bottles or Jars

These can hold loose lipsticks, mascaras, or pencils as well as applicators. Price ranges from $1.00 to $5.00.

Brush Set

You can purchase a brush set that comes in its own container and usually has a few blush brushes, eyebrow brush, lip brush, a few eye shadow brushes and a mascara applicator. It is very convenient and useful. Price ranges from $3.00 to $20.00.

Make Up Containers

These are the “big daddy” of make up organization. Make up containers can sometimes resemble tackle boxes, and have been called just that by most men. I have a Caboodle to hold my make up and couldn’t possibly live without it. Make up containers will have several different sections and maybe even layers to store your make up. Your eyeshadows go in one section; blushes in another, and so on. How many sections you have depends, obviously, on how big of a container you get to hold however much make up you have. A woman with a make up drawer should invest in one of these. Price ranges from $10.00 to $35.00.
