The Perfume Bottle Makes a DifferenceThough the intoxicating fragrance is what the perfume is judged on but the packing bottle may at times prove to be an equally important factor, especially when you are selecting one to gift to your beloved. Many fragrances are almost same, may be a minute, undistinguishable difference. May be a little more citrus in one while a little less sandalwood in the other. Thus, the artistically designed bottle and packaging of perfume makes them stand out from amongst the rest. Some of the perfumes have very classic bottles which have become a trademark of the fragrance. A good perfume in an ordinary pack hardly sells, but the vice verse sells hot cakes! The first impression about the perfume is well conveyed by the bottle of the perfume. This entices the customer first time, afterwards though it depends on the perfume itself. A very plain or unappealing perfume bottle will not even be given that chance. A large chunk of the budget of launching a perfume goes into bottle deign, colors, type face and of course the name of the perfume. A trend that began with the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Coco Chanel have caught the trend and are in vogue, even the teeny bopper stars have their own brand of perfume today. Some Classic BottlesThe best examples that can be thought of when considering the bottle are those of Jean Paul Gaultier perfumes. The silhouette of a man and woman in deep aqua-blue and pale dusty pink respectively gives an entirely new definition to the perfume. The tin type packaging that houses the Paul Gaultier perfume bottle just makes it even better. Chanel no.5 and Chanel logo have been legendary examples for the bottle making. The black Chanel logo has always been a permanent feature on many dressers. It is nothing fancy but it symbolizes timelessness. The Hot and Cold perfume from the United Colors of Benetton also has a very cute bottle with faucets as the top of the fragrance. An apt identifiable object plays the name of the perfume very well and appeals to the younger crowd. |
