All You Wish to Know About Blepharoplasty

As glamour takes over our life and when TV enters our home, we all want a slice of that finesse and sophistication that the celebrities flaunt. Everybody wants to appear hip and happening. Even children at young age learn one thing that make-up and cosmetic can work wonders.

Nowadays we see lot of young people as well as teenagers going for liposuction to get that hour-glass figure as well as for botox to get that extra shine and smoothness of the skin. Earlier it was believed that cosmetic surgeries are for hiding the age but now it’s only a myth. You find so many cosmetic surgeries springing up for the correction of every part of the body.

One of these much talked about surgeries is Blepharoplasty. Blepharoplasty means plastic surgery of the eyelid. This surgery is basically undertaken to remove fat around the eyes as well as to correct the sagging eyes caused due to old age.

The fat is removed around the eyes by removing the excess and loose skin and muscle around the eyes and on the upper and lower eyelid. This surgery is usually undertaken by old age people and celebrities. Because this surgery removes the fat around the eyes which adds years to your face. By undergoing the surgery your skin around the eyes becomes smooth and soft and plus makes you look lot younger as it adds freshness.

This fat gets accumulated around the eyes in form of wrinkles and crow’s feet. However according to a popular myth, this surgery will definitely not change your identity or make you look any different then you are. It simply erases the wrinkles and sagging eye bags around the eyes.

It more works like an eraser on a drawing. Just like you erase few unwanted lines on your drawing similarly this surgery removes few lines. However it will no doubt uplift your face. That’s why these surgeries are popularly called face lifting.

In Blepharoplasty the surgeon makes incisions in the creases of the eyelids. After separating the fat from the skin, he removes the unwanted fat with the special tools and closes these incisions. This kind of surgery can be done on all the four eyelids.

It is a simple surgery and it is more advisable to undergo when your skin is more elastic. This is a scar less surgery but it takes a little time to heal. A person is advised not to go back immediately to normal day to day life.

However people suffering from the diseases of thyroid, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart-related diseases and ophthalmic diseases are not advised to take up this surgery. However they should consult their respective doctor for further instructions.

These kinds of surgeries instill a freshness and positive attitude in your life. But before undergoing any of the plastic surgery it is advisable to consult your doctor or a plastic surgeon to check if these might not have an adverse effect on you because sometimes if you have been tested positive for diabetes your scars don’t heel and leave a mark for lifetime. Hence it is better to seek professional advice for the cosmetic surgeries.
