It is therefore used for both reconstructive as well as cosmetic purposes. For reconstructive purposes, the procedure corrects defects on the face or any other part of the body. These defects may be by birth or injuries occurred during an accident or burns or any defect occurred after a disease. In case of a cosmetic surgery, the specific body part is made to give body a contour, which may boost the confidence of the person. The examples of cosmetic plastic surgery may include augmentatin mammoplasty, rhinoplasty, botox, liposuction, tummy tuck and so on. Teen and Plastic surgery:According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeon’s report every year more than three hundred thousands teens opt for plastic surgery to fit in and look acceptable to people. Teenagers visit plastic surgeons to correct a physical defect or to alter specific body part to make them feel comfortable in the society. The common type of cosmetic plastic surgeries includes otoplasty, gynecomastia, dermabrasion, rhinoplasty, liposuction and breast augmentation. In otoplasty, the ear deformities are rectified by a plastic surgeon. In gynecomastia, the physical appearance of male breast is reduced. Dermabrasion is also opted by many teenagers for treating acne mark on the face. In dermabrasion, facial plastic surgery is carried out by the plastic surgeon to reduce the acne mark. In some of the teens facial marks remains up to the age and scar revision plastic surgery is carried out to diminish such marks. The other main common plastic surgery is rhinoplasty. In rhinoplasty, the nose is shaped according to face and sometime extra bone and cartilage is removed to fit the nose. Counseling from the Plastic Surgeon :Many times a teens only need counseling from the plastic surgeon. The teens in this age group might require some natural processes to appear better male or female personality and the doctor can convince the teen to wait for a short period and see the results. If even after waiting for one or two year if the desired result is not obtained from natural processes, he or she can opt for cosmetic plastic surgery. Reason to opt Plastic surgery:There is no doubt that teens opt plastic surgery as they find themselves lacking in self confidence due to their physical look and appearance. Every teen is young enough to think about the possible remedy available for the specific problem and find plastic surgery as the best suitable option to look better. Sometimes teens get depressed with some of the specific problems such as nose or breast size, jaw appearance, face look etc. It is better to treat such emotional disorders prior to engage with a plastic surgeon for the surgery. |
