hey this is about proactiv. i seriously suggest u read this.. if u just got the product and wanna kno if it "Works" or not. k so first of all hi im liek 15 and i used this cuz my acne was sooo extreme that ppl wud notice it and it wud b hard for them 2 talk wihtout meaning to b rude. ok so i NEEDED an acne treatment so i got proactive. within 3 days i had only ONE PIMPLE LEFT and it was so small too! i was soooo happy so i kept using the 3system proactive. then, gues what? they came back. and they wudn't go away. to top it off, the mask wu dmake my face SOOO DRY that it wud look even WORSE than it did before i used proactiv. then, i stopped using proactiv. and waited.. and waited.guess what? I HAD NO ACNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wella little.. but i wud put neutrogena, or just plain wash my face w/ water before goin to sleep, but a dab (REALLY LITTLE BIT) of toothpaste on the acne-prone area. and voila, int he morning it wud reduce in size. now ihave just a very pink complexion, which doesnt loko bad! i say, proactiv is a good strt. but u shud stop it after 2 months if ur skn was like mine! thansk byeeee good luck!

I'm14 and have been using proactiv for about 2 years. It keeps my skin "under control",but my face and back still break out. However , I don't think im using it properly. To get the maximum results you have to use all three steps, twice a day, every day, and sometimes that can be hard to maintain. But I think its worth a try.

I got the proactiv solution from my grandmother she tried it as acne runs in the family and you dont always grow out of it.She had a bad reation to the products but She thought that I should try it anyway.As for me it works from the second day on it has mad great changes in my skin. Ive used ever product Accutan being one but the blood test and visit to the dermatologist are too much.Living in jamaica such things cost way too much for the average income to maintain. So this is the only product for me . Try it you may find that it works for you too.

I ordered Proactiv about a month ago and I am sending mine back for a refund. It immediately cleared up small breakouts I had on my forehead, yet I continue to get pimples on my nose and cheeks. The Reapiring Lotion states to start using only once a day to prevent excessive dryness - I only used it once a day and my face can't get enough moisture! I stopped using the system because my face was dry and cracked, and I'd much rather suffer from a few occational pimples that cracked skin. Do yourself a favor, forget the system! The real power behind this is daily exfoliation, use a toner with glycolic acid, and oil-free moisturizing, and acne treatment with salicytic acid instead of benzoyl perocide. You can get the same results if you use other products and spend as much time on your face as you do with Proactiv, and not bleach out your skin, clothes, and towels.

Proactive really works!!! I love it.  I have been using it for about a year.  Don't waste your money on any other products.  I have some advice though...the cleanser runs out faster than the toner and lotion, so when you think your out of the cleanser  cut the tube and the remaining cleanser will last you a couple more weeks.

Proactiv - Not for me. I ordered the kit and tried it for about a month.  I am a gym rat and work out 4-6 times per week, and sweat profusely during my workouts.  Once I start sweating, the moisturizer combined with my sweat started making my face burn and when I rubbed my face with my towel or jacket, it bleached them.  I started getting faded patches around the neckline of my workout clothes.  Therefore, it may work for some, but it did me no good.  I started going to a dermatologist to work with my problems.

As someone who has suffered from bad back acne for years, and who has tried just about everything, I recommend Proactive products. Their
stuff works soooo much better than ANY product (including
prescriptions) that I've ever used. I use the Deep Cleansing Wash on
my back, and it keeps my back clear. (Before using their products, my
back was always broken out and usually had large, tender acne spots.)

I started using this product about three months ago after we moved into a house that had hard water and no water softener. This really wreaked havoc on my skin as it is normally kind of dry, especially in the winter, so I leave it alone but with the hard water acne started popping up more than usual and my skin just looked unhealthy. If I used acne medication it would dry it out horribly and if I then used moisturizer, it would break out again! So! After seeing my friend start using it with very soft skin and better complexion as a result, I just had to give it a try. So far, I am very pleased with it and use the cleanser, toner only occasionally, SPF tint in combination with the moisturizer and at night I sometimes use the more emollient one. My skin is back, more or less, to normal and the breakouts are much less frequent. I do recommend! :) Don't buy the membership however, buy the largest size you can find and only the ones that you will actually use and this will save you a TON of money.

I has mild-mod acne since I was 14. I used this when I was 22. It cleared me up for the first time in my life!! But after 2 years I started developing chin/jawline breakouts. Now I am on accutane. But I will def. use again.

I love this stuff. My skin started breaking when I graduated from college, and this is the only product that's kept it in check. I recommend using the cleanser and the toner in the mornings and evenings, but only use the "repairing lotion" at night. The repairing lotion is a really a drying agent, so I think "lotion" is kind of misleading. My only complaints are the price and the fact that I run through the cleanser about twice as fast as I run through the "repairing lotion", and I can't even count the excess bottles of toner I have. I'm about to stop the automatic shipments and just order a few bottles of the cleanser until I use up my stash of the other products.

I have been using this product for about 2 years and although it worked well in the beginning, its effect has faded. Also, the third step is VERY drying on the skin and must be used with a moisturizer. I love the facial scrub step though, and the toner is fantastic. I don't use the facial scrub everyday though, since it can also be a bit harsh on my sensitive skin. Overall, I would say this product is effective but I would definitely pass it up if I found another cleanser that was cheaper and worked well.

i started this at 16, but now decided that i can make-do with drugstore purchases. it did cleared up my zits..but not that i haf a lot at that age. its juz the hype abt the sentimental life stories on tvmedia dat got me buying this. its performanc is evident, but my skin somewhat got immune it to. killed pimples, but doesnt stop my monthly breakouts. my big bro now relies heavily on this, after sampling mine. he was convinced this is the only product array that can ever work for him. it kept stuborn acne at bay, but blemishes are still popping. recommended for serious acne.

I've been using this stuff for about a year in a half and I won't use anything else! I love this stuff! I had a lil bit of acne around my nose and couldn't find anything to clear it up. I tried everything and then finally gave this a chance and I'm glad I did. Cleared up my problem in a week! And the weird part about it is...I have very sensitive skin and being that this has Benzoyl Perioxide..it didnt hurt my skin. I'm very pleased w/ this stuff. Only complaint is that they don't sell in stores. Yes they sell in those kiosks in the mall, but they are not related w/ Proactiv and they charge about $30 more than Proactiv's price(even including the shipping!)...ohh and beware if you want to return it to those kiosks...even if you pay w/ cash..you have to wait 4-6 weeks to get your money back! okay I'm blabbling on! =) anyhoo..love this stuff!

Before I got married I wanted to have great skin for that special day so I started looking for something to take care of my acne. I tried a few skin care regimes and found that Pro Activ's actually got rid of my acne almost completely. At first I used the whole system as recommended and found that it actually dried out my skin so I cut back to once a day. Then my family noticed that my face was a different color than the rest of my skin so I cut back to just the cleanser and only when I need it. This stuff is a miracle, but it's strong stuff! Whenever I start breaking out again I go back to the whole procedure and I clear up within days. I would recommend it to anyone with acne prone skin. Just work out the best procedure for yourself.

Pro-Active gives me back my confidence!! I have been suffered from acne problem for about 6 years from now. I don't have serious problem but there are always acne and breakouts on my face and especially around my mouth between the nose area. I saw the ad. from Pro-active about 2 years ago, but owing to the fact that it can only be ordered online or by phone, I think it is kinda insecure and so, I didn't order it. So, I try to seek helps from Chinese herbal medicine and my family doctor. However, the small acne keeps on coming out. Finally, I think I should try Pro Active and after I have been used it for 2 weeks, I see dramatic result. Acnes has disappeared and my skin never look better. My co-workers notice the difference on my skin and asked what skin care did I use! I used to put on concelars to hide the acne but I don't need it anymore. That's why I said that I am not a foundation person in my review on Estee Lauder's Enlighten foundation. Now, I have been using Pro Active for 6 months and it still working well on my skin. I will recommand this to those who have suffered from acne since their teenage and is in their early 20s now. For those who are in their late 10s, Pro Active will still work on your but it may takes longer to see the result. In addition, you will feel a little bit dry when you use the product in the first week, but it will become better after that. Also, I am using Pro Active Lotion together with Lancome Impactive and a SPF moisturizer and they works well together.

I love this so much, i used it about 2 years ago and the problem was totally cured, then about 1 year later or so, they came back! So i began using it again, i don't know why I stopped, but after only 3 days, all of my breakouts have gone down in size and redness. The cost is a little more, but it is totally worth it, compared to all you would spend on other medicationsk, over-the-counter items, or more makeup to cover it. Good Luck Ladies!

I am really glad I gave this system a try. I used it a long time ago when I was breaking out and it worked wonderfully. I don't know why I ever stopped using it. Anyway, after over a month of using this system I have seen dramatic results in my skin. My breakouts are clearing up and going away. Not an easy feat! Very happy and will continue to use.
