| I dont believe in superstitions.. but three nights ago I was outside and pointed to the North Star.. My boyfriend said bite your finger.. and I was like what? I dont believe in that crap. The next morning I woke up with a swollen eye and pain. Next time I will bite my finger, I'm too scared to even look at a star now. I've tried warm clothes.. stye ointment..even a sliced potato.. and nothing seems to be helping. I don't even see a head on it, so it can pop. Its on the inside, all swollen. HELP ME!!!!! | |

| I have a huge STYE in the inside corner of my top eyelid. It is swollen and very uncomfortable... I used a hot wet rag and it helps better than the STYE jelly stuff... Its the only thing I found to work. | |

| I have had 3 styes in my lifetime of 43 years and the first time I went to the doctor, he told me of an over the counter eye oinment called "STYE". I'm shocked that you all suffering so much with styes, this cheap oinment is available to all of you. This oinment if applied about once every two hours will keep the eye painless and looking normal until the stye pops and heals. Good luck and keep your eyes clean. I went to a dusty ranch the last weekend and returned home with pain in my eye which has become a stye. | |

| I HAD SEVERAL STYES WHEN I WAS REALLY YOUNG. BUT NOW I HAVE TWO STYES IN BOTH MY EYES IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS. THEY ARE SO PAINFUL.......I HATE IT. I'M GOING TO SEE MY DOCTOR TOMORROW. I WONDER WHAT CAUSES THEM. | |

| Hey, what are you supposed to do when you have no insurance, I will try the warm wash cloth. Whats up with no-over the counter creams or drops or anything... Some of us don't have any medical insurance but they have got a life!!! HELP! I can't see right now! | |

| Don't put salt on it as it is a nutrient for staphlycoccus - no wonder it will spread to the other eye. Try an antibiotic or ointment. Even ice would be good! | |
