| The most important thing to remember with Styes is that they are quite simply plugged pores. Therefore of all the home remedies, the most important is to apply heat in some fashion to the area as soon as the problem begins. No topical applications penetrate the skin. Therefore the only way to improve the situation is through the blood. The "blood Brain Barrier" keeps ointments etc from penetrating otherwise all that makeup would go straight through the skin. Although antibiotics are the best option, the second best is Omega three fatty acids. Flax seed oil and Fish oil seem to loosen up the secretions that plug the openings. They should be taken constantly when you have this problem to potentially stop future occurances. Hope this is more helpful than the tea bags. | Oh Lord.....Ive got 2 styes on my lower left eye, and one on my upper left... Its spread to my right eye last week and I'm losing my freaking mind. My girlfriend thinks I have a venereal disease going on in my friggin eyes now. I didn't want to have to go to the doctor, but my GF is threatening to turn me in to the free clinic if I don't seek help. Shoot, maybe it's chlamydia or something. Jesus I hope its just a bad case of styes. I've read nothing about a foul odor permeating from the eye region.....Is this normal in the case of a stye?? | I'v gotten 3 styes in the past month..one on the top left eyelid and two on the bottom left eyelid. One of them seemed to come out in the same exact spot as before..the hot compresses dont really work for me. I'll try something else! | |
