Wedding Reception Favor Creation Ideas
Easy: The determination of how easy these are is in the amount of work and time that would be put into making these. Easy-to-make wedding reception favor ideas are in no way less prestigious than the ones that are the most difficult to make. The following is a list of some of the simplest wedding reception favors to prepare:
- Wrapped Candies: Usually all you need to do is put mints, chocolates, or hard candy in a see-through fabric (usually white netted or lace) and wrap it with ribbon. It can be personalized with some type of message.
- Sea Shell Candles: It is not hard to find wax to make candles, and other candle supplies. These are available at most craft stores. If you want to add special touches such as glitter or pearl coloring to the candles you may try to find various crafting techniques in books or at websites.
- Dipped Chocolate Spoons: Usually this involves dipping the end of a spoon in chocolate up to about the base of the spoon handle. This makes a tasty treat as it melts in the mouth of your guests. You can have these spoons engraved before you start dipping.
- Martini or champaign glass candles: All you need to do for these is purchase some gel candle solution and then pour it in a miniature martini or champaign glass. You could also be create and use shot glasses, margarita glasses, or even clear beer mugs for this project. You may even want to add some type of essential oil or spice to the gel solution so the candle will smell nice when burned.
Moderately easy: These are easier than the hardest crafts to make, but a little more difficult than the easiest crafts to make. Perhaps you can try one of the following ideas:
- Monogrammed Cookies: You can cook a batch of cookies and decorated the tops of them with the initials of the bride and groom. Sugar or almond dough would be ideal for this project. This could involve one of several techniques, such as using food coloring and different shapes and sizes of cookie cutters. However, it can also be done with frosting pens.
- Wedding Photo Coasters: You can find coaster bases to decorate at a craft store. They often come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The best ones to purchase would be ones that allow you to enclose the photo under a piece of glass or Plexiglas. You could also laminate a photo with strong clear postal tape or laminating paper.
- Handmade Place Cards: You can use a combination of computer art and craft supplies to make unique and memorable place holders. One suggestion for a finishing touch for this project is to attach a small ribbon in one corner of each place card. Then, all you need to do is attached them to wire place holders.
If you are creative-minded you probably can come up with great ideas for making your own wedding reception favors. However, to be human is to sometimes have a creative block.
